Newsletter 5 - 1st October 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of our first month back at school, I would like to extend a big thank to all our wonderful staff for being amazing and living our value of friendship and teamwork this week.  Holy Trinity is a very lucky school to have you all.

Parent Governor Vacancy

We have received two nominations for our Parent Governor vacancy and so parents will be asked to vote for a new Governor, with voting taking place between Monday 4th October and Monday 11th October.

Harvest Festival Donations
This year we come together to celebrate Harvest Festival at Holy Trinity Church at 9:30am on Tuesday 12th October (YR, 2, 4, 6N) and Thursday 14th October (Y1, 3, 5, 6W).    Holy Trinity Church will be collecting items for the Ascot Day Centre this year.   Please find below a list of items needed.  These need to be long life goods rather than perishables so that they can be stored and distributed as needed.  Items can be brought to school and carried down to the church by the children:

  • Tins of beans, lentils, chickpeas, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, runner beans, mince, fruit, Big Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Toilet rolls - packs of 4
  • Kitchen towel
  • Tissues
  • Teabags
  • Coffee
  • Biscuits
  • Multipacks of snack bars
  • Multipacks of crisps
  • Cartons of apple juice or orange juice (1 litre or individual)

Black History Month
We will be celebrating Black History Month in school through various projects in different areas of the curriculum. Focusing on a range of artists, inventors, scientists and writers from many different ethnic backgrounds. Educating our young people about differences, uniqueness and the value of all is a responsibility we feel very strongly and is central to our vision and Christian ethos.

Equipment from home

We have noticed an increasing trend of children bringing in items from home (pop it toys, transfer cards etc).  Please make sure these items stay at home.

Have a lovely weekend
