Newsletter 24 - 15th March 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

I’m aware there’s been a lot of additional things going on these past couple of weeks that we’ve asked you to support us with. Dressing up, bikes in school, books sales, disco etc…. I really appreciate all your organisation in supporting these events and finding time in the busyness of family life. So, thank you!

School Prayer and ‘stilling’

As part of our daily worship in school, we invite the children to be still and take some quiet time to reflect. Mrs Barnes and the Spiritual Leaders have created ‘stilling jars’ (glitter liquid) that are being used in classes to provide a focal point for children to watch and feel calm. It is an opportunity for them to be still in their busy day and reflect on whatever value has been the focus of Collective Worship that day.

We also invite children to join with us to say our school prayer. This is invitational as we don’t have an expectation that children are practising Christians. We’d like to share it with you:

PTA Disco

Enjoy the disco fun this evening – thank you for your support.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Griffith

Sunningdale Village Hall Charity

The Village Hall has been an important community space for over 100 years – home to the Pre-School, provider of affordable space for a wide range of leisure and recreational activities for people of all ages and abilities, from party central for children (of all ages), to polling station, with puppy classes thrown into the mix for good measure. You name it – the Village Hall is up for it.

But – the Village Hall is a charity and its continued existence very much depends on a dedicated group of volunteers – the Trustees – who are willing to give their time, their enthusiasm, and their life skills to ensure the Village Hall continues to thrive well into the future.

The Trustee Board, chaired by Shazia Khawaja, wishes to recruit additional Trustees. If you value the role the Village Hall plays in the heart of our community and would like to find out more about what being a Trustee actually means please get in touch – we would love to hear from you.
