Newsletter 33 - 5th June 2026

Dear Parents and Carers

Summer Fair

A lot of organisation has gone into preparing for the fair next Saturday. Thank you to those parents who have donated items for hampers, signed up for slots to help at stalls and organised stalls and events. If you haven’t already done so, please do as this is a great way to spend time together as a community but also to support the school financially. We value you all being part of the Holy Trinity Family and pulling together to help make the PTA fair a successful event. Thank you.

Bottle Mufti

Next Friday (12th June) is a MUFTI day in return for a bottle donation for the bottle tombola. Please hand the bottles over at the gate!

Sports Day

You will have received the letter communicating the details of Sports Day on Friday 3rd July. The letter can also be found here. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this event.

Garden Help?

Are there any parents or grandparents who would be able to help weed out and smarten up the raised beds in our Spiritual Garden? We would very much appreciate any help offered to spend a couple of hours tidying them up. Please do let the office know if you’re able to help.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Griffith

House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Earth! Well done Earth!

Bags 2 School - Weds 10th June

We have a Bags 2 School collection next Wednesday 10th June in time for a clear out at the weekend.  This is a good earner for the PTA.  Please drop bags next to school reception by 9am (or inside reception if raining).  Bags 2 School accept a number of different things - clothes, paired shoes, handbags, hats, bags, scarves and ties, bras, jewellery, socks and belts.  Please don't add additional items as they will be removed and left with us to dispose of.

Swimming Gala

On Wednesday, 8 of our Y6 children proved themselves to be fishes in disguise!

They attended a swimming gala at St Georges School in Ascot, competing against other local schools from the area in swimming races including butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and front crawl, as well as two relays to finish.  In their individual races, they got a mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.  In their relays they came 1st in every race - showing the true power of their team work.  As a result, Holy Trinity School took 1st place in the gala overall, scoring 68 points, 12 ahead of the nearest competitor.

It is also important to note that not only were the children successful competitively, they were also excellent representatives of the school in general.  They were kind and encouraging of each other, they took time to congratulate children from other schools, and they cheered for the slower teams (where some children had never taken part in a swimming gala before).  A brilliant afternoon, and well-deserved congratulations to Ariana, Corick, Freya, Maiya, Rosie, Ryan, Saffie and Sam.

Year 4 Mathemagicians

Congratulations to Avelyn, Greg and Kareena who came 3rd out of 17 schools in a maths competition organised by the Rotary Club of Maidenhead.  Kareena said 'We went to All Saints School to take part in a maths competition.  We had to do a question and if it was right we would receive the next question but if it was wrong they would give the question back for us to do it again'.

Greg said 'Out of 17 schools we came 3rd and one of the questions that we did was:

I am thinking of a 2 digit number less than 50.  The two digits add up to 12 and the difference between them is 6.  What is my number?   The answer is 39.

Windsor Flower Show

The Gardening Club, ably supported by Mrs Patel and Mrs Drewitt, has yet again produced a fabulous wheelbarrow from seed to enter into the school competition at this year's Windsor Flower Show which takes place tomorrow.  The theme for this year's wheelbarrow is Balance.  Reception class with Mrs Tomes have also entered their potatoes - thank you to Mr Drewitt for collecting everything and taking it over to the Great Park today.  Please see here for tickets and information about the Flower Show in the Windsor Great Park.

Year 2 Dancing Success

Over the last year Lucy has qualified at local dance competitions for the All England Dance regional finals! These finals took place at 7 regions across England this half term. She did 3 dances at the Home Counties Finals and received really great marks in all of them.  Lucy and her duet partner Elias were announced the winners of the pre-junior global duets and will now go on to represent the Home Counties at the National finals at the end of July. Lucy has worked incredibly hard to get to this point - congratulations and well done!
