Year 6 – Manon and Hayden who have both settled in really well in this challenging time.

What do I do if My Child has Symptoms?

As we operate under new guidelines, there have of course been lots of questions! Only seek a coronavirus test for an adult or child who is displaying one or more of these three symptoms:

- a high temperature

- a new continuous cough

- a loss or change to sense of taste or smell

Please see a document below to help you to know what to do if your child or someone in your household does start to show one or more of the symptoms above.

Please don't send your child to school if they're unwell or with a high temperature controlled by paracetamol or ibuprofen.  Don't forget that your child must not return to school until at least 48 hours of the last episode of any gastric upset (vomiting or diarrhoea).   Thank you for helping us to keep our school a safe place to be for children and staff alike.

Announcing our New Head Girls and Boys!

Further to a recruitment exercise completed in school this week, we are proud to announce our new Head Boys and Girls.

Our Heads are Sophia and Sam who will be ably supported by their Deputies Sophie B and Caleb.

The standard of entries was extremely high.  Mrs Griffith was very impressed and making the selections was certainly tricky.  Thank you so much to everyone who made the effort to apply for these important roles.  Sophia, Sam, Sophie and Caleb assisted in our first outdoor, socially distanced tour for prospective parents this week and did a lovely job.

Curriculum Leaflets

Check out what your children will be working on this term!  Curriculum leaflets are now available for all year groups on Class Pages on the website under the 'Meet the Teacher' section.

Bags 2 School - Weds 23rd September

Our next Bags 2 School collection will be on Weds 23rd September.  Look out for bags coming home by pupil post this week.  These can be filled and dropped at school before 9am on 23rd September.  Please don't leave bags beforehand unless by special arrangement, as we don't have room to store the bags.
Any bags can be used if you need more capacity!  These can be filled with clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, soft toys, bedding curtains and towels.  Please no branded uniform or branded work clothing, duvets, pillows or cushions.
The PTA is paid by weight for the bags and we're hoping for a bumper haul after lockdown!  There will be another collection in November in anticipation of the half term clear out. Thank you for your help with this.

Term Time Absence

If you need to request a term time absence (for example for a planned medical appointment or a music examination) please complete the 'Request for Term Time Absence' form which can be found on our website here

Request for the School to Give Medication

If you need us to give your child medicine during the school day, please complete the form which can also be found on our website here and hand in to the school office with the medication required.

Dropping Off and Picking Up at School - Don't Forget Your Mask

Our revised arrangements appear to be working well now.  Unless you are exempt, please do help us by wearing a mask or face covering when entering the school site for picking up or dropping off.  Thank you in anticipation.
