Dear Parents and Carers,
Another week has flown by!
New Reception Parents
It was lovely to be able to welcome parents of children starting in Reception for an outdoor meeting this week. Of the 30 children starting, 18 of them are siblings of children in year groups throughout school. I know that you’ll all make the new parents feel very welcome and help them settle quickly into our school community. Thanks to Mrs Tomes for working so hard to make sure the children and families feel part of our school so quickly.
Legoland
Y1 and Y2 had a wonderful day at Legoland on Tuesday! I’ve heard lots about the singing dragon and the robotics workshop. Thank you to Miss Prince and Mrs Rhodes for organising this.
Governor Vacancy
I’m sure you have all had chance to read the information about the up-coming vacancy. If not, the information is here. The deadline to apply is Monday 5th July. You may have spotted Governors in the playground this week at the end of school days. Please feel free to ask them about the role if you have any questions.
Leavers’ Service
The good news is that we have found a way to be able to go ahead with our Leavers’ Service on 15th July at church. The downside is that we have to limit numbers attending. So only parents of Year 6 pupils will be able to attend (limited to 2 people per family). And only Year 5 will be attending from school to support their Year 6 friends.
Year 6 Residential
Year 6 will be enjoying their week away next week. Could everyone please keep their fingers crossed for good weather for them please?! Thank you in advance to Mrs Neale, Mrs Marriner and Miss Lazar for taking the children away.
RHSE
Thank you to those parents who responded to the survey. Please look out for our published policy on the website soon.
Enjoy the weekend!
Mrs Griffith

The House with the most house points this week is Water! Well done Water!
Year 1 & 2 Trip to Legoland
On Tuesday this week, year 1 and year 2 had an amazing time on their trip to Legoland. There was so much excitement, laughter and big smiles. Year 1 attended a Story Maker workshop where they were able to plan and then create a 4 part story using lego. Year 2 attended a Robotics workshop where they were able to build and program their own interactive models. The rest of the day was spent exploring the park, and lego exhibits, designing a colourful fish and watching it swim around at Lego Reef, watching the action packed pirate show and funny puppet show, taking to the wheel at driving school and being underwater explorers on the Deep Sea Adventure. What a wonderful way to spend the day!!
Year 4 - Energetic Gymnasts
Year 4 loved their apparatus sessions last week...
Swimming Lifesavers
It is Drowning Prevention Week so in their swimming sessions Class 4 learned how to save themselves and others.

Ava's Polo Report
On Tuesday 1st June I played a polo match with 50 different teams participating called the Rocket Rentals Junior Tournament. Age groups from 6 - 18 year olds took part. I was in division 3, 10 - 16 year olds. Our polo team was Hampshire Hunt and we came 1st out of 30 other teams. I played 5 chukkas by the end of the day, drawing one, winning two and losing two. Which is an amazing result! At the prize giving I got a cap saying Rocket Rental Rider. During the 5 chukkas I rode a beautiful black horse called Berty. Thank you Berty!
