Dear Parents and Carers,
Our vision is for our pupils to flourish in an inclusive, inspirational place of learning where we are happy, respectful, kind and safe.
We have had another busy and productive week in school with Bikeability for Years 4 & 5, a trip to Brooklands for Year 2 and a theatre visit production of ‘Town Mouse, Country Mouse’ for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. All this in addition to the everyday learning!
Heating repairs
The engineers have been working to re-route a significant amount of pipework. We estimate the work will be complete by the end of next week. The classrooms and group rooms have heaters in them and are sufficiently warm but we look forward to the heating being fully functional again soon.
Library Refurbishment
This year, the PTA have agreed to raise funds towards refurbishing our school library. The Librarians and School Council have gathered ideas from the children and we have asked the design company to incorporate them into the new design. We’ll share the plans with you once they’ve been finalised. We are hoping to replace the carpet tiles and re-decorate as part of the refurbishment – please do let the PTA or Mrs Poulter know if you’re able to offer any help with this to help keep the costs down. Thank you!
Top Tip
Please see below the offer from Thames Valley Police for webinars they are providing on cyber protection. ‘Hints and Tips to secure your family online’. This was one area that many parents requested support for on the recent questionnaire so please do take up the opportunity if you can.
PTA Disco
Will be on 7th February in the Village Hall. 3.45pm – 5pm for Reception and KS1. 5.15 – 6.30pm for KS2.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Griffith

Sunningdale Village Hall Charity - Trustees Needed
The Village Hall has been an important community space for over 100 years – home to the Pre-School, provider of affordable space for a wide range of leisure and recreational activities for people of all ages and abilities, from party central for children (of all ages), to polling station, with puppy classes thrown into the mix for good measure. You name it – the Village Hall is up for it.
But – the Village Hall is a charity and its continued existence very much depends on a dedicated group of volunteers – the Trustees – who are willing to give their time, their enthusiasm, and their life skills to ensure the Village Hall continues to thrive well into the future.
The Trustee Board, wishes to recruit an additional Trustee, ideally one who has a financial background to volunteer a few hours per month. If you value the role the Village Hall plays in the heart of our community and would like to find out more about what being a Trustee entails, please get in touch – we would love to hear from you.
You can email the Trustee Board at: admin@svhcommunity.co.uk
