Dear Parents and Carers,
It's been lovely to be back in school and welcome you all back for our Summer Term. The children look wonderful in their summer uniforms.
We have a very busy term ahead so please check the school calendar for dates of events. One such event is our Sports Day. Please put Friday 17th June in your diaries and we'll let you know more details soon.
You may recall that we received an invitation for two lucky pupils to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee with the Mayor. Well, the Head Girls and Boys pulled the names out of a bag; congratulations to Thomas in Y3 and Connie in 6W!
We were also invited to join in a similar celebration at Ascot Race Course. Jake in Y5 was the luck winner to attend that event. We look forward to seeing the photos and hearing all about it!
Lost Property
We have re-located our lost property box to the front office. Please do come and have a rummage if you have misplaced an item.
All items will be taken to charity/donated to PTA at half term so please do come and look before then.
Film Night
Tuesday 3rd May is the ever-popular PTA Film Night. Please pay via ParentPay. Pick up is 4.15pm from your child's classroom.
Bank Holiday Monday
We will all be enjoying the long weekend this weekend, so return to school on Tuesday next week.
Enjoy the extra holiday!
Mrs Griffith
Sporting Success!
We're very proud of all the successes our pupils enjoy outside of school and love sharing them with you. Keep them coming!
Rhys in 6N had a great finish to the Easter holidays by winning the Surrey Youth League cup final with his football team under 11's Ascot United Youths. Rhys, who is their goalie, made some amazing saves along with the rest of the team to win it 3-2. A great day had by all!
Holy Trinity also had three winners at the eve of season awards for Ascot United Girls:
Abigail in 6N - Most Improved Player (Crystals)
Poppy in 6W - Players Player (Crystals)
Emily in 6N - Managers Player (Stars)
Well done to all our stars!
Ascot United is looking to recruit more players for its ever-expanding girls’ section.
If your daughter is interested in playing football, it’s a fun and friendly environment.
The club will be hosting Open / Taster Sessions for girls of all ages (and ability) in May.

Year 6 Hoodies!
Year 6 have received their hoodies and they're very happy! Part of our tradition is that Year 6 wear their personalised hoodies for their last term at Holy Trinity. It makes for a very colourful uniform!
Gardening and Growing News
The Spiritual garden and main school playground are looking lovely with their new flowers, many thanks to all those involved in helping out and donating plants and compost.
The EYFS area has a healthy crop of potatoes and strawberries growing and we are hoping to plant out some vegetables that the children planted from seed before the Easter holidays.
Savill's Estate Agents have donated some seeds for a sunflower growing competition. Some classes are starting to grow the sunflowers in school as part of their curriculum and will later send the plants home and others are sending the seeds home now so that you can enter the competition from home. Please let Mrs Tomes know if you would like a packet of seeds but your class aren't involved in the event.
IMPORTANT NEWS: We have been especially selected to compete in the Royal Windsor Flower Show on 11 June 2022. The Queen's Head Gardener, Phil Carter and the local Muddy Boots founder, Hannah Brewer-Luckhurst delivered a wheelbarrow, some potatoes and a few plants to start off our growing. Only 10 schools have been invited to compete. However, we need more plants and compost to make our display. Any donations of plants, compost or a financial donation would be very grateful received please email the office if you can help in anyway.
Also if anyone is able to help deliver the wheelbarrow on June 10th to Windsor Great Park please let me know.
Many thanks,
Mrs Tomes

Inspiring projects from Year 6!
During half term I made this music box from a building subscription from KiwiCo. When pulling the lever on the right side, the drum spins around hitting hammers onto the keys. At the moment, it’s programmed to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Sports Generation Swimming
We are an established swim school providing shared private and private swimming lessons to pre-schoolers and children across South West London and Surrey since 2012. We have only started running lessons in Ascot last year and it has proven popular with local families. We are looking to add Saturday sessions to meet demand and we are running free trial sessions on 7th May to invite families to see the pool and experience our lessons first-hand.
