Newsletter 19 - 21st January 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a frosty week we’ve had!

Of course you will be aware that the government covid guidelines are changing again. I will let you know any changes to our procedures and policies in school next week. We still have 8 cases across the school and we will continue to email you to let you know if there is a case in your child’s class so that you can continue to do LF tests with your child.

Football boots

It has been so muddy lately and our field is suffering as a result. So, the children in KS2 are not using the field at the moment at playtimes. Going forward, we would ask that the children don’t bring in boots with any studs on – this will help the field to recover and will also help avoid any stud injuries. Thank you for your help with this.

Curriculum Leaflets

Every term, teachers produce Curriculum Leaflets for you with information about what the children are learning that term. Please take a look on our class pages on our website (in the ‘Children’s Zone’ tab) to find these documents.

Mr Hill

You may be aware that Mrs Hill’s husband has been very ill. He is now living back at home but needs a lot of help. If you would like to, you can help by donating money towards an electric wheelchair. This is the link for his GoFundMe page. I know Mrs Hill has already been bowled over by the support and love our community has shown so I know she’ll appreciate your donations a huge amount.

I hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

Mrs Griffith

Absence

Although tempting as we have not been able to travel freely for so long, please do not book holidays or family days during term time.  Missing even one or two days learning can be detrimental to your child's learning. Holiday absences will show up as persistent absence which is checked by Ofsted when they visit and monitored closely each half term by the Education Welfare Officer at RBWM.  Thank you

Please do not send your child to school if they're unwell or with a high temperature controlled by paracetamol or ibuprofen.  Don't forget that your child must not return to school until at least 48 hours after the last episode of any gastric upset (vomiting or diarrhoea).

Holy Trinity CE Primary School take safeguarding very seriously. If you have a concern, please do not hesitate to report to our designated staff;

Mrs J. Griffith, Mrs C Barnes, Miss S. Harding, Mrs F Fargher
