“Do good and be happy” (our vision for Holy Trinity Community)

Dear Parents and Carers,

Many thanks for your donations for our Bags 2 School collection on Tuesday. We raised £177 for the PTA! Our next collection is in January.

Harvest Services and donations

We’re looking forward to celebrating our Harvest Services with you in church again:

  • Reception, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 9.30am on Monday 10th October
  • Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 9.30am on Tuesday 11th October

It’d be wonderful to see you at the services and to receive your donations of tinned/packet foods on the day too.  Your child can bring them to church on the day of their service.

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Griffith

Change to Menu Next Week - School Census

Next week on Thursday 6th October we will be swapping the school meal with Friday's menu so food choices will be as follows:

Thursday 6th October - Fish Fingers or Vegetable Fingers or Jacket Potato

Friday 7th October - Beef Pasta Bolognese or Macaroni Cheese or Jacket Potato

This is because we have the School Census on Thursday 6th October. This is a crucial day in our calendar for determining our school funding!  One of the factors influencing this is the number of children who have a school meal in Reception Class, and Years 1 and 2.  If your child can possibly order a school meal next Thursday (even if they usually have packed lunch) this would help us greatly - don't forget meals are free for Reception class and Years 1 and 2.

London Marathon Runners

Our very own Mrs Free will be running the London Marathon on Sunday!

As will Tim Fettes our Chair of Governors.  Tim is running for Maggie's Centres, a charity offering Cancer Support.  Please click here to donate towards Tim's run if you can - many thanks.

We'll be thinking of them both on the day!

Nasal Flu Vaccinations

All pupils are eligible for a nasal flu vaccination in school and these will be given on Wednesday 12th October.  Click here to book by giving your consent to the school immunisation team.  You will need the school code which is BK110018. Booking will be closed 24 hours before immunisation starts and consent cannot be given after this, on the day or via school.  Please see the letter and leaflet below for more information.

Harvest Services

Our Harvest Services this year will take place on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th October at Holy Trinity Church.  All donations will be very welcome and can be brought to school on the relevant day for children to carry up to church, or you may take them to church and leave on the way in if you prefer.  Donations will be used for the Church Foodbank.  Any surplus will be donated to the Ascot Day Centre and the Kerith Foodbank in Bracknell.  The following is a suggested list of donations but all donations are welcome:

Tinned tomatoes, pasta sauce, tinned lentils, tinned chickpeas, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, soup, pasta, rice, long life milk, drinking chocolate, breakfast Cereal, long life fruit juice, squeezy honey, biscuits, multipacks of snack bars, multipacks of crisps, tissues, shower gel, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste.
