Dear Parents and Carers,
A Happy New Year to you all! Many thanks from all the staff at Holy Trinity for our cards, gifts and good wishes for Christmas. We're extremely grateful and feel very appreciated. We do hope you had a successful break and managed to see family and friends as planned.
We currently have nine cases of Covid amongst pupils and staff, most of whom didn't return to school on Wednesday but will hopefully be back with us very soon. Unfortunately this includes Mrs Griffith, who has asked me to pass on her thoughts in this note to you today. Proof that covid can be caught repeatedly, even amongst the triple vaccinated and so we must all continue to be careful even if we've had the virus before.
Mrs Griffith sent out a letter yesterday with links to an updated risk assessment and notes about what to do if your child has symptoms or tests positive for the virus. You can see all of those documents in the Parent's Zone of the website here.
As the days get longer and brighter we are aiming (and praying) for a great Spring term!
Have a nice weekend.

Clubs
We are expecting our clubs to go ahead as usual from next week. Some clubs still have spaces so please do contact providers directly if you're interested. Full details are on our website here. Please see the revised days for Magpies Clubs on the flyer below.
Proud Achievement
Zen in Year 2 has been invited to train with the Junior Berkshire County Tennis Team this year! He is super proud of this achievement and is very excited to start. Well done Zen!
House Tag Rugby
On the last Tuesday before the Christmas break, year 5 took part in a House Tag Rugby competition. The results were as follows:
4th Place – Fire
3rd Place – Water
2nd Place – Earth
1st Place – Air
Congratulations to Air. Well done to everyone – you really put the skills you’d learned in lessons to the test!
Year 5 Ravenous Readers
Here are this week's Ravenous Readers. Hristiana has read King of the Cloud Forests. Congratulations to Benoit who has now completed the Class Reading List!
Absence
Although tempting as we have not been able to travel freely for so long, please do not book holidays or family days during term time. Missing even one or two days learning can be detrimental to your child's learning. Holiday absences will show up as persistent absence which is checked by Ofsted when they visit and monitored closely each half term by the Education Welfare Officer at RBWM. Thank you
