Newsletter 27 - 19th April 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Summer Term. The year is galloping by! This term is a busy one so please check the school calendar on the website for information about additional events.

Class Assembly

Well done to Year 4 for their class assembly yesterday. Thank you to family members who were able to join us. It’s Year 3’s turn next Thursday (25th) at 9am.

Yahoo Emails

Unfortunately, we are experiencing ongoing problems replying to Yahoo emails. We are working with our service provider to try to solve the problem. In the meantime, if you’re able to send emails from a different account that would be helpful. Alternatively, please call the office who can pass a message onto teachers if needed.

Lost Property

Please take the time to have a look through the ever-growing pile of lost property before we donate to charity. The box is kept in the front entrance – we will display it at pick-up times next week if the weather is kind.

School Allotment

Our allotment is blooming lovely! Mrs Patel along with other parent volunteers are working hard to support the children in the development of the area. You’re invited to join us after school next Friday 26th April to visit the allotment and see how much it benefits the children. A huge thank you to Mrs Patel and other volunteers who have donated time, money or sundries to make this possible.

Artist in School

Art Day – Wednesday 24th  April

We are delighted to be able to share with you the exciting news that local artist, Amanda Padfield, will be coming to Holy Trinity on Wednesday to share her work with the children and inspire them to create art of their own.

Amanda will be working with the children to paint a tree from a back garden or from a favourite park.  They will be encouraged to consider what lives in the tree and show it through artistic means.

The Circle Gallery in Sunninghill are supporting us with this project and have kindly agreed to display some of the children’s work in the window for the community to admire! This is such an exciting opportunity for the children and we hope they enjoy being able to see their artwork in a real gallery!!

The children will be working on canvases and we are asking for a small donation of £2 each to cover the cost.  This will be payable via Parentpay. Thank you!

Enjoy the weekend and good luck to any marathon runners out there!

Forest School help!

Forest school has really suffered this winter because of the rain. Large areas are quite muddy, if anyone has access to some woodchip we would really appreciate it.

We also need to move our base camp and could use some new log circles. If anyone can help out please email reception@holytrinityprimary.org

Many thanks

Mrs Tomes
