Newsletter 24 - 17th March 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Just to remind you that next week is the last week of clubs.

We do hope you have enjoyed being able to browse the Book Fair this week. It’s you last chance today – it’s open in the Research Hub until 4pm.

Hopefully you have booked your parent’s consultation meeting with your child’s class teacher for next Tuesday or Thursday. Please come in to the hall via the back door on Church Road. You’ll be able to look through your child’s books too.

NSPCC Fundraiser

Please see the poster info below regarding this fundraiser next Friday afternoon. The School Council have planned, and are running, the activities. Many thanks in advance for your support!

A huge thank you to the PTA for organising the photo cards this week – we do hope they bring you a smile!

Wishing all the Mothers a lovely Mothering Sunday!

Year 3 and 4 Netball Festival

Last Friday, 16 children from Years 3 and 4 took part in a netball festival at The Marist School.  The games were played in an unfamiliar 5-a-side format but the children demonstrated wonderful adaptability and resilience throughout the afternoon.  Many of the children are new to netball so we were thrilled to come away with lots of draws and even a couple of wins.  Great fun was had by everyone and the children should be very proud of their performance.

Savan Runs the Surrey Half

Last weekend, Savan in Year 2 ran the Surrey Half Kids 2k Race.  This was in preparation for the triathalon that he'll be doing in July to raise money for the school!  Training proper will start in April and a justgiving page will be available soon.

Scholastic Book Sale and Online Book Club

Many thanks to everyone who came to our book fair.  It's been lovely seeing the children browsing and enjoying the books. If you'd still like to place an order you can do so here online until the end of today:

https://schools.scholastic.co.uk/holy-trinity-sl5/digital-book-club

Every £1 you spend on this month’s Book Club will earn 20p for our school in Scholastic Rewards.

PTA Easter Trail

Get creative on the build-up to Easter and design your very own ‘Easter Animal’ themed artwork for everyone to enjoy seeing at your home. Think Easter chicks/rabbits/lambs etc. This can be something you display in your front garden or stick into your window. It needs to be clearly visible from the pavement so that your friends can see it easily on their way around the Easter Trail in Sunningdale and Sunninghill. There are prizes for the top three best designs as voted for by those who take part in the trail!

If you don’t live within walking distance of the school, then you can still take part by providing your artwork for us to display from the school. Simply drop it into the school office before the Easter Holidays.

Trail maps will cost £3 and be available 27th- 31st March from the school office and from MyCloud Coffee (7 Silwood Rd, Ascot SL5 0PY) from 27th March throughout the Easter Holidays.

If you would like to display your Easter creation, please provide your address below or write ‘school’ if you’d like us to display on the school site. Please post into the PTA post box in the School Office by Monday 20th March.
