Newsletter 1 - 8th September 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back!

It goes without saying that is has been wonderful to have all the children back in school. A big welcome to all our new children and families in Reception and in other classes.

We’d also like to welcome Mrs Whiter to our Team as Teaching Assistant in Year 4.

Sadly, we are having to say goodbye to Mrs Jeremiah who has worked with us for 11 years. Thank you Mrs Jeremiah and Good Luck in your new role!

Packed Lunches

If your child is having a packed lunch, please remember that we have a ‘No Nuts’ policy. We encourage healthy options in lunchboxes too, so no fizzy drinks, chocolate or sweets please.

Parent Governor Vacancy

The Governing Board will be sending information via email next week regarding our current vacancy. This will include information about the process and how you go about nominating yourself should you be interested. This process will start next week and the role will commence at the start of October.

Enjoy the weekend,

Mrs Griffith

It may have come as a surprise, but we're all about seizing opportunities to support our amazing school!  Can you spare half an hour to help?

Whether you can join us for a quick power-up session or stay all day to save the world, every moment counts. And yes, you guessed it right – your sidekicks (a.k.a your family) are more than welcome to join the adventure!

To secure your spot as a superhero volunteer, simply click on the following link sign up here

Lil our PTA Chairperson will be there, cape and all, for the entire event, so no worries about overlapping schedules. Let's come together and make this day one for the books – filled with laughter, fun, and unwavering support for our school!

Savan's Triathalon!

Savan in Year 2 took part in the Henley Kids Triathalon on July 22nd to raise money for our school!  On July 22nd, Savan took part in the Henley kids triathlon. It was a cold, wet, miserable day, and Savan swam, cycled and ran with the biggest smile!!  All donations will go to Holy Trinity's PTA and every donation will be truly appreciated.

Savan's fundraising page will be open for 1 more week - he's raised £911 so far!  Please click here if you're able to sponsor him.

Free women's running group launching this September!

All abilities welcome!

A lovely community called This Mum Runs is launching free weekly runs in Windsor and the surrounding areas, offering some free headspace for women in the local area.

They run at the pace of chat and aim to connect, support, and empower women (you don't need to be a mum!) to be a bit healthier and a bit happier.

You can join the This Mum Runs Windsor community here to find out more about when runs happen and link up with other women who might want a running buddy:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/thismumrunswindsor/

Claire Patel is a Holy Trinity parent and volunteer who will lead some of these free runs, so do shout her if you have any questions.  We look forward to having you as part of our flock!

School Clubs

Booking for most clubs is up and running on the website here.  Clubs generally start week commencing 18th September (with the exception of Martial Arts which starts next week).  Last minute bookings lead to all sorts of confusion so please book well in advance so that accurate registers can be prepared and everyone knows who should be where.  Thank you.

We have trial lessons for guitar and ukelele next Friday lunchtime with our guitar teacher Rachael Holden. Please contact Rachael directly on 07734 424444 or rachholdenguitar@gmail.com to book.  Please note trial lessons are £6 each and not free as previously stated.  Apologies for any confusion.
