Thank You for a Wonderful Fair!
Holy Trinity School would like to say a huge thank you to the PTA and all who helped to bring us a wonderful Christmas Fair last Saturday. A special thanks goes to Mrs Shukla and Mrs Brown who have taken up the lead role and organised the fair for the first time which is a daunting task. They did a brilliant job! Thank you also to Miss Wallbanks and the Choir who entertained the crowd and a very special mention to Santa's Elves. Mrs Pepler had this to say:
'As the Year 5 reps, Mrs Ghattaura and I were in charge of organising and running Santa's Grotto at this year's Christmas Fair and wanted to let you know how impressed we were with the ten members of the Year 5 class who gave time on Saturday to be 'Elves’ in our Grotto.
They all demonstrated great maturity and took responsibility for the tasks assigned to them with enthusiasm and brilliant, positive attitudes.
For the adults running the Grotto, they were invaluable helpers and we have received some lovely comments from guests on how impressed they were by the Elves.'
Santa's Elves were Lucas P, Amber, Charlotte, Sadie, Caleb, Freddie F, Sophie B, Dylan, Eleanor, and Lola - well done to you all!

Anti Bullying Week 2019
This week has been Anti Bullying Week in schools across the UK. The children were invited to wear any odd socks to school all week to celebrate all that is different and we've seen some lovely crazy sock combinations! On Wednesday we had a visit from Firehorse Productions who presented a play called 'Just Joshing'. The play was great and enabled lots of useful conversations in the classroom. The children were taught:
Remember to:
Stand up - for others
Speak out - if you see bullying happen
Small changes can make a big difference!
Year 4 Study Judaism
Mrs Hodge kindly came in this week to talk to the children about Judaism. She brought some bread – challah – for everyone to taste. She talked about what they do during Shabbat (Friday evening - Saturday evening). She lit candles and said prayers. The children had lots of questions and it was a very enjoyable session. Thank you so much to Mrs Hodge for giving up her time to share with the children.

On a Monday lunchtime we are fortunate enough to have Michael, a local Ranger from the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership, coming into school.

Well done to those that braved the weather to look in our Forest School this week and successfully found seven different species hiding under rocks, logs and leaves...they even found some eggs!
