Newsletter 37 - 3rd July 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday, the Government announced their plan that  ‘all children and young people, in all year groups, will return to school and college full time from the beginning of the autumn term’.  They have published guidance for schools and for parents that you can find here.
We will be updating our risk assessments and planning in detail what this will look like for us at Holy Trinity and we will share this with you when all the details have been agreed. Once again, this is not an easy task so please bear with us. We may not be in a position to share this with before the end of the summer term.
We will endeavour to foresee any questions you may have and provide as many answers as we can.

Have a lovely weekend!

Reception Class Enjoy Make Some Exciting Discoveries...

Can You Mend our Waterproof Trousers?

Reception Class are heavy users of waterproof trousers.  We buy good quality trousers which are washed frequently but these still need regular mending to make them last.  Mrs Tomes' late Mum has been mending our trousers for several years - is there a willing volunteer who might be able to pick up where she left off?  We'd be very grateful as the trousers are essential and we can vastly increase their wear by 'making do and mending'.  Please let Mrs Tomes or the school office know if you can help.

Do You Have Any Spare Cabinets?

Mrs Tomes would be very grateful for any spare old cabinets or book shelves we could take off your hands for extra storage in the outside classroom and the Forest School hut.

Year 1 This Week

Classes have been working outside when the weather is fine - and sometimes when it's not!

Learning the Guitar

Class 4H Learn About the Ancient Greeks

Class 4H are really enjoying the Ancient Greek Topic! They have drawn Pegasus and made up their own mythical creatures. Flo’s made a Greek vase and completed her Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses research.

Reading Scheme Books
Please return all reading scheme books to school by Friday 17th July. Your child can put them in a box in their classroom or alternatively, you can place them in a box that will be outside the office door.  Many thanks.

Last Day

Our last day in school for class bubbles will be Friday 17th July. If your child is in school or returning before the end of term, please send them in with a plastic bag on their last day to take home their school books and any of their work that has been displayed.  Thank you!
