Newsletter 33 - 5th June 2020

Dear Parents and Carers
We hope you’re all well and managing to remain positive.
We have had a very calm and successful week here as we slowly re-open to more pupils. Both ‘Bubbles’ in Reception and Year 6 have been in for their two morning sessions. It was lovely to see them all! Things are slightly different in classrooms but both Mrs Neale and Mrs Tomes have enjoyed having the children back in school.
Thank you for observing the 2m queuing when dropping off and picking up – this has really helped staff to reinforce that message with the children.
We will be welcoming Year 1 back for their two morning sessions from Monday and we look forward to seeing you too.
Teachers in the other year groups have been contacting their children this week and have also enjoyed chatting with them. We very much appreciate your comments of support and thanks as we continue to navigate through this strange time.
Obviously, many of you would  like to know if and when other year groups may be invited back in.  At the moment we are following government guidance and taking it slowly so that we can make sure it’s safe for all. We will let you know our Phase 2 plans in a timely manner when we know it’s safe for more children to return. What we do know is that we will not be able to invite all years groups back before the end of the summer term as we are unable to staff that many 'Bubbles'.

Stay safe,

Mrs O'Brien and Mrs Griffith
