Newsletter 10 - 15th November 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Book Wish List

I’d like to thank all the parents who have kindly donated books from our wish list. What a generous response! Thank you. The wish list will remain live for you to continue to donate books should you wish.

Paying for trips termly

You will be aware that we have a new system in place for paying for any trips/workshops termly. This is available on ParentPay along with consent forms. You will still receive a letter sharing information about the trips that are happening for your child as well. Thank you to those parents who have now made payments. Please note that if we don’t receive enough funds, the planned trips will not be able to go ahead.

Internet Safety evening for parents

On Thursday 5th December at 7pm St Michael's School in Sunninghill has arranged an internet safety evening for parents much like we provided here in June. They have extended the invitation to you; if you would like to attend please contact the office at St Michael's School directly to let them know on office@stmichaelsce.co.uk

Running Track

Our long-awaited all-weather running track is being installed starting on Monday. The field will be out of action until the project is complete. In order to keep everyone safe, we are not allowing bikes or scooters into school next week – please do help us with this. Younger siblings bringing bikes and scooters onto the playground at school pick-up time should not be riding on the playground as there are too many people around – please keep your children with you during pick up.

Parent Tip

This week is based on helping to build your child’s emotional resilience. We know that this is invaluable in providing them with tools to cope with and deal with all sorts of events and incidents that they will come across in their life. This includes asking for help and accepting offers of help too. I hope you find it valuable.

Christmas Fair….

Is fast approaching! Please do offer your time to help out if you’re able – this is always a wonderful community event. The PTA are spending a lot of time organising and coordinating so do offer your help if you can – we’ll see you there!

With best wishes,

Mrs Griffith

A Visit from Perform

We were very pleased to receive a visit from Perform on Wednesday 13th November. The children had a wonderful time exploring the theme of Outer Space and using drama, dance and singing to help develop their confidence, concentration and social skills.

To complement the workshop, there is a free educational app for iPhones and iPads based around the theme of Outer Space. It contains fun games, creative tasks and videos of the themed songs and dances. Click here to download it free or here to find out more about the Outer Space theme.

Perform run regular weekly classes in the local area and they are offering a special introductory discount to all parents of Holy Trinity CE Primary School if they come along for a free trial session before Thursday 2nd January.

To claim your discount, just call Perform on 020 7255 9120 quoting HOEL020125 or book a Free Trial Session online at perform.org.uk/try.
