Dear Parents and Carers,
We have finally reached the end of what has been a very challenging week. We look forward to more reasonable temperatures next week. Thank you for your support during this week of changes to routine.
Sports Day
We look forward to welcoming you to Sports Day next week. The option to order Grab Bags has now closed so do make sure your child has a packed lunch that day if you’re not able to join us for a picnic. You are welcome to bring chairs, picnic rugs etc. Reminder of timings and plan for the day is here.
Transition Morning
Your child will be joining their new teacher in their new classroom on Wednesday morning. They will need to go to their current classroom first to register.
Choir
Well done to our choir who performed so wonderfully at The Hexagon last week. Thank you to Mrs Milner for arranging and preparing them so well.
Litter Pick
The School Councilors from Y6 and the Head Boy and Girls joined me on a local area litter pick last week. This idea came from the children themselves and shows their passion for social action!
Thank you to those parents who have kindly donated gazebos for the children’s use this week. We would appreciate any further offers for Sports Day. Please contact the office is you can help us with this.

Stars of the Week for w/e 19th June 2026
Well done to all of our Stars this week
Reception – Everyone - for a fantastic class assembly!
Year 1 – Millie for always being a shining superstar and role model.
Year 2 – The Whole Class for showing resilience, teamwork and carrying lots of smiles during this week's hot weather.
Year 3 – The Whole Class for determined effort and resilience in lessons this week.
Year 4 – Kareena for overall effort in everything she does.
Year 5 - Igor for always using his initiative when problem solving.
Holy Trinity Food Bank
A plea for any contributions please to the food bank collection box in school reception. These are for the Holy Trinity Church Food Bank which is open to our community without referral and we would love to have one last drive before the summer holidays to help see families through. Non perishable foods, non foods (including toilet rolls, tissues etc) and treats are all welcome. Just pop them in to the box inside school reception door. Many thanks!
School Choir 'Making Waves' at the Reading Hexagon
On Friday 19th June 2026, the choir went to the Reading Hexagon for the Junior Music Festival. There were 27 children attending from across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, together with Mrs Milner, Mrs O’Brien and Mrs Sudell. The theme this year was ‘Making Waves’ and we all got to come in costumes – we had lots of sea-themed headdresses plus three crabs, a fish and a mermaid with us! Our favourite songs were ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from Moana and ‘Under the Sea’ from the Little Mermaid. There were also two readers, Isabelle and Isabella, from years 5 and 6.
It was so much fun and we can’t wait to go back next year.
