Dear Parents and Carers,
Y6 SATS
Well done to Y6! SATS are done! A huge thank you to Miss Harding for organising breakfast, making sure the children were well prepared and keeping a calm atmosphere. Thanks also go to staff and governors who supported the children leading up to and including this week.
Class Photos
Our school photographer will be in school on Monday 18th May in the morning to take class photos. Please send your child in school uniform. If they have PE that day, they will need to bring their PE kits to get changed into for the afternoon.
Y1 Class Assembly
It is the turn of Year 1 to invite their parents in to join them in their class assembly. You are welcome to join us from drop off. Assembly is on Thursday 21st May at 9am. Please come to the door at the back of the hall.
PTA Film Night
Details are on ParentPay. Thursday 21st May. Collection is at 4.15pm from classrooms in the usual way.
PTA Summer Fair
This is now only a month away! Saturday 13th June: 12 – 4pm. Please do take a look at Class List or speak to your class rep to find out ways you can sign up to help out on the day. It’s always a lovely family fun day and your support is much appreciated!
Staff Car Park
Please make sure you closely supervise your children and they stay with you when you are dropping off/collecting. Don’t allow your children to run around the car park as it can be used during these times and is clearly a danger. If possible, stay close to the building rather than the cars. Thank you.
We have had all manner of weather this week – please make sure your child brings a coat to school just in case!
Enjoy the weekend,
Mrs Griffith

School Census Menu
Next Thursday 21st May is census day in school. We always have a different menu on census day to encourage as many children as possible to have school lunch - this greatly affects our funding for universal free school meals (Reception class to Year 2). Please see the menu below:

Royal Ascot Art Competition
As winner of the age 4 - 6 category in the Royal Ascot Art competition, Vian (Year 2) and his parents were invited for a presentation and lunch at the Racecourse last Saturday. Vian was presented with a prize, also winning £1000 for school at the same time! The children were asked to choose the best dressed horse in race 5 and had photos on the winners' podium. Vian's artwork will now be turned in to a large panel which will be affiixed to the walls of the Heath tunnel in time for the Royal Ascot meeting. The family were also given tickets for Saturday at Royal Ascot and the winners will take part in further special activities then. Special mention should also go to Daisy in Reception class for her artwork which was Highly Commended in the same category. Well done Vian and Daisy!
