Newsletter 30 - 8th May 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Year 5 Residential

You may have seen Year 5 with their bags packed leaving on Wednesday morning to go on their residential trip down to Dorset. They have had a great time! Thanks to Mrs Pinkerton, Mrs O’Neill and Miss Lazar for taking the children and giving them such a great experience.

 

Year 5 Charters Open Evening

If your child is in Year 5 and you would like to take a look around Charters, they are inviting you to their open evening event on Thursday 9th July 5 – 7.30pm.

 

Film Night

Thursday 21st May is PTA Film Night. Please pay on £5 on ParentPay if you would like your child to take part.

  • Reception class will be watching Despicable Me 3
  • KS1 will be watching Angry Birds 2
  • KS2 will be watching Kung Fu Panda 4

 

Collection is 4.15pm from classrooms in the usual way.

 

KS2 SATS

Next week Year 6 will be taking their end of KS2 exams (SATS). We wish them all the very best – Year 6 you’ve got this! Make sure you get plenty of rest this weekend.

Stars of the Week for w/e 8th May 2026

Well done to all of our Stars this week

Reception – Jaxon for fantastic maths work this week.

Year 1 – Sophia for super work and focus in maths.

Year 2 – Cameron for making great progress in reading and super independence in lessons. 

Year 3 – Zac for enthusiastic contribution in class discussions.

Year 4 – Elliott for making a great effort with his presentation and handwriting. 

Year 6 - Immie for listening to advice given on how to improve her discus throw, following which she threw the longest throw by a girl and the third longest throw in the whole class.

House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Fire! Well done Fire!

Transforming Trinity

Recently, a few children from Year 6 went to visit the church and see the renovations. We got to see some of the foundations from the previous church building. We even got to sit in some of the construction vehicles and see the workers use them.

We can’t wait to be able to enjoy the new space!
