Dear Parents and Carers,
Our vision is for our pupils to flourish in an inclusive, inspirational place of learning where we are happy, respectful, kind and safe.
We have been focusing on kindness in school. It is one of our 4 rules ‘Be Kind’ and now each class has a Kindness Ambassador who has created a Compliments Box for their class. The Year 6 Spiritual Leaders are working with the Kindness Ambassadors to share ideas with each class about acts of kindness.
We make sure our Collective Worship and PSHE lessons reinforce this message of kindness – maybe you could take some time to chat with your child about kind acts to mirror this work we are constantly focusing on at school. The Top Tip below also links to kindness this week.

ELSA
I’m very pleased to share the news with you that Mrs O’Neill is currently training to be an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant). Once trained, she will be able to provide support for pupils who are experiencing challenging emotional times. In the meantime, there is a Worry Box in every classroom and a Worry Monster in my office if pupils would like to talk about a worry they have with an adult in school that they trust.
Have a lovely weekend – a very warm welcome to February!
Mrs Griffith
