Reception Class in Assembly

Reception Class attended their first School Assembly today!  The children were accompanied by their Year 6 Buddies and sat beautifully throughout.

Stars of the Week for w/e 15th November 2019

Reception – Husayn for his constant cheerfulness and for making super progress with his reading.

Year 1 – Matthew for his support to others in class and his excellent manners.

Year 2 – Aidan for his excellent attitude to work and for knowing that effort and perseverance make your brain grow!

Class 3 – Ethan for his fantastic attitude to learning which is lovely to see.

Class 4H – Jack for his mature approach to school life and using his initiative.

Year 4W – Harry for his enthusiasm in making an excellent shield, helmet and sword for his topic homework.

Year 5 – Amber for her excellent, hard-working attitude in all that she does.

Year 6 – Alex for being noticed by members of staff for his excellent manners.

Maths Calculation Workshops for Parents

Thank you to all parents that were able to attend the workshops. Your support is always appreciated. To those parents who couldn't make it, our new calculation policy can be found on the website under About us - Policies - Calculation Policy 2019.  Also videos of the methods can be found under Children's zone - Video Resource Centre.  Thank you for your continued support.

House Point Winners

The House with the most house points this week was Earth! Well done Earth – we hope you enjoyed your extra playtime.

Ordering Photos

Please return all photo orders to the school office by Wednesday 20th November to benefit from free delivery to school.  

Flu Forms

Nurses from the School Immunisation Team will be visiting school on Tuesday 10th December to administer the nasal flu vaccination programme.  Children from all years are eligible for the vaccine this year. Consent forms have been sent home and these need to be back in school by Friday 22nd November so that paperwork can be prepared and the correct amount of vaccine can be ordered.  Many thanks for your help with this.  

Sync Your Calendar

If you'd like to synchronise your mobile phone calendar with ours, go to the school website on your smartphone, click on 'Read more' on the calendar section and 'Subscribe to this Calendar'.  Choose 'All calendar items' and select which calendar you would like to sync with.  If you are unable to sychronise and would like to, please email the school office with a screen print and the make and model of your phone and we will forward this to our website provider who will give further advice.

News from the Lions of Windsor and Maidenhead Pride
All of the wonderful lion and cub sculptures going to the Gala Charity auction on Thursday 28th November can now be seen in the online catalogue at https://www.ukauctioneers.com  UK Auctioneers , along with photos, descriptions and estimates for each lion.
Cub estimates start at £300 and large lions from £800. Anyone who would like to bid online can register and leave a pre-auction bid or bid live online on the night.

4H Cake Sale

Funds raised were £100.95 for 4H!  Thank you to everyone who contributed and/or bought cakes.

Christmas Fair

If you haven’t already, please sign up for 30 minutes so that your class reps have some time at the fair with their families.

Class Hampers— items to your class reps please.

Secrets Room—Small gifts suitable for men and women, please drop off to the School Office before Friday 22nd November.

Sweet Tombola —Check book bags for stripy paper sweetie bags which have gone out this week.  Please hand in to the school office for safe keeping :-)

Santa’s Grotto - now fully booked - thank you!

Pottery Painting - still a few places left so please book asap to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Jumpers - Year 6 will be running a pre-loved Christmas jumper stall. If you would like to donate jumpers, please bring them to the school office by Friday 22nd November.

Raffle Tickets – please place stubs and money in the envelope provided and place in the PTA box in the school reception area.

Cakes, Biscuits and Mince Pies to be sold on the day—all your Nut Free contributions welcome on Friday 22nd and Saturday morning before the Fair.

Bottle Tombola - Mufti day on Friday 22nd November in return for a bottle donation!
