Newsletter 9 - 7th November 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you all enjoyed the half term break; it was lovely to welcome the children back on Tuesday morning.

Odd Socks day for Anti-Bullying

We will be starting Anti-Bullying week next week by inviting the children to wear odd socks to school on Monday. This symbolizes how we are all different but all valuable. The theme of Anti-Bullying week this year is ‘Power for Good’. We will be discussing this with the children in age-appropriate ways.

Remembrance Assembly

On Tuesday morning, we will be gathering together to remember and honour those who have been affected by war. We will focus on the symbol of the poppy. If you or your child would like to buy a poppy or other related items, Year 6 will be visiting each class and the playground for adults at the end of the day . Enamelled pin badges are also available from the school office.

Kindness MUFTI

On Thursday 13th November children are invited to wear something that makes them feel happy.   We are doing this to recognise International Kindness Day and our Kindness Ambassadors suggested this lovely idea.  The cost is £2 in cash or on ParentPay next week.  All donations will go to the '52 Lives' Charity.

Bags2School

We have a collection for your unwanted clothes and shoes on Wednesday 12th November. Please drop any bags to the front of school by 9am. This is a great fundraiser for us and a chance for you to have a pre-Christmas clear out! See here for what can and can't be included.

PTA Christmas Fair

Is on Saturday 22nd November 12 – 3pm. Please do sign up to help out if you can. We’re very grateful for all the donations for hampers and class stalls – the PTA work really hard to run this event and we appreciate your support.

SIAMS Inspection

You will have received the letter from Andrew Wilcock who will be inspecting the school on Monday. We will, of course, share the report with you in due course.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

Mrs Griffith
