Newsletter 34 - 13th June 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our vision is for our pupils to flourish in an inclusive, inspirational place of learning where we are happy, respectful, kind and safe.

Staffing

We are now able to share with you the teachers for next year:

Reception Class: Mrs Tomes and Mrs Lawrence

Year 1:  Mrs Barnes and Mrs O'Brien

Year 2: Mrs Stephens and Miss Wallbanks

Year 3: Mrs Rhodes and Mrs Ahmed

Year 4: Mrs Hurst (Mrs Neale!)

Year 5: Mrs Pinkerton

Year 6: Miss Harding and Mrs Fargher

We're pleased to welcome Mrs Stephens to our team - she will be coming in to school over the next few weeks to meet the children.

Please make a note in your diaries that you have the chance to meet your child's teacher for next year on Tuesday 8th July at either 2.45pm or 3.20pm.

National Sports Week

Next week we will be celebrating some fun sports activities with the children. Please note:

On Monday 16th June all pupils will need to come into school in their PE kits as they will all be enjoying the gymnastics apparatus in the hall throughout the day.

All classes will have the chance to bring their scooters one day for a fun scooting session on the playground. They will need to bring in their scooters and helmets - Class Reps will communicate with you as to which day to bring them in.

On Friday 20th June it is Sports Mufti for a minimum donation of £1. All funds raised will go towards new playground equipment. Children may wear any sports clothing, including football kits, but please no studded footwear.

Sports Day

Sports Day is 4th July - we have sent out a letter with the plan of the day. We hope you can join us!

Y4 Residential

Thank you to Miss Harding, Mrs Fargher and Mrs O'Neill for taking Year 4 on their one night stay away this week. They had such a great time!

Y1 Class Assembly

Parents and families are invited to the hall for the class assembly starting at 9am on Thursday 19th June. Please come into the hall via the back hall door on Church Road.

Piano wanted?

We have two pianos that we no longer need in school. If you (or anyone you know) might like one, please do let the office know. We need to move them by the first week in July.

Have a lovely weekend.
