Christmas in the classroom!!

This week we would love you to complete 2 tasks to help us get ready for Christmas!! Firstly, our tree is up but it is looking a little bare! Can you get your craft hats on and create us a bit of sparkle to add to the tree?  All decorations made will be hung proudly for all to admire and we can't wait to take a photo of it in all it's glory! So find your glitter and your ribbons and have fun making us something spectacular!! Thank you in advance!! 

Second task is to find a Christmas story from your book collection and wrap it up in festive paper for us to put under the tree.  Please label it with your name.  Each day we will choose someone to find their book and unwrap it for us all to share.  This is a lovely Year 1 tradition to read a range of Christmas stories and share our love of books.  Thank you! Your book will be returned to you on the day it has been read.  

Spellings:

Here are this week's spellings.  Please remember that all of the focus sounds have been taught in class and so they should be familiar.  Nothing is new but they will need regular practise to become embedded.  We appreciate your support, they are doing exceptionally well with this new routine for such early days - we are very proud.  

Mathletics:

No activities have been set this week to allow you time to focus on a Christmas decoration!!
