Spellings

In class we encourage children to use robot arms to 'sound out' the word - it would be great if you could support this method at home so they learn to break the word up successfully into the sounds needed eg paid = p/ai/d.  Any questions - please do email or catch us in person! 

 

If last week's spellings were a struggle for anyone, please keep in touch and we can adapt as necessary.  Thank you for your support with the daily practise.  

Mathletics:

3 tasks have been set for your child to complete.  Tasks will be set on a Thursday and you have one week to complete them.  If physical resources are needed to support your child's maths learning, please do use them, (counters to physically manipulate or drawing - all is helpful in developing the core skills.)  

 

I will be celebrating the children who have completed all 3 tasks tomorrow and Mathletics generates certificates as well at certain points so I would be really grateful if you could ensure all tasks are done by Fridays.  Mathletics continues up the school so it's a great idea to get into the habit this year of completing tasks each week.  Thank you to all those who have eagerly accessed the learning platform.  We appreciate your support.  If anyone has mislaid the login, please see me and I will replace.
