This term we are looking at the theme, 'Minibeasts'

We will be reading different books together this term and learning abut the different minibeasts around us.

These are some of the books we will be studying this term.

We will also be preparing the children for their move to year 1.

We have some important dates this term:

Sports Day:  Thursday 13th June 10.45am followed by a picnic lunch

Come and See:  Thursday 4th July at 2.45pm

Meet the Year 1 teacher: Tuesday 9th July at 2.45pm or 3.20pm

If you and your family celebrate any special occasions this term please do send in photos on Tapestry.

We are following the Essential Letters and Sounds Phonics program please see the powerpoint below from the Phonics parent's meeting so that you can support your child with their phonics at home. There is a new video showing how to pronounce the new sounds we are learning this term.

Please ensure a pair of wellingtons is in school for use at Forest School.
Forest School will be on a Wednesday this term (weather permitting).

We have Athletics on a Tuesday and Magpies on a Thursday.

Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days and brings their school uniform

in a named bag. Please can all clothing be clearly named.

Please ensure a water bottle is in school every day.

Please use the photos on this webpage to talk with your child about their experiences at school and what is happening. It helps you to get to know who their friends are and what they are learning at school.

Wow moments: We are a team and we want to hear about what your children have been doing at home. Wow moments are sent in when a child has learnt a new skill or been particularly kind of helpful. Tapestry can also be used to record special achievements that we can share with the class.

Nativity. So proud of Reception with their performances!

Class worked together to make a Remembrance Day, 'Poppy'.
