Newsletter 8 - 24th October 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have reached the end of our first (very long!) half term.

Thank you for all your MUFTI donations today; the children certainly enjoyed their day!

Knowledge Organisers

As well as your child’s class timetable and full curriculum, our website also has the Knowledge organisers for each foundation subject for each topic. These are the key concepts and vocabulary that your child will be learning and will need to remember. You can find them here. Choose a subject and scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Knowledge Organisers. We hope you find these useful.

Girls' Football Tournament at Braywick Leisure Centre

Our Years 5 and 6 girls' football team took part in their first tournament of the year last Friday at Braywick.  They played amazingly well, displaying excellent skill, teamwork and enthusiasm.  They came 5th out of 9 teams.  Sophie and Saffie scored some great goals and Ariana made some super saves.  Well done to all the girls who took part:  Ariana, Sophie F, Saffie, Daisy, Eleni, Indira, Star, Rosie, Sophie H and Ella S.  Thank you to Mr Parry from Maidenhead Magpies for supporting the girls at the tournament and to the parents who were able to stay and watch.

Boys' Football Tournament at Braywick Leisure Centre

On Monday, it was the turn of the boys to play football against other schools in RBWM at Braywick Leisure Centre.  The A-Team played really well losing two matches narrowly 2-1 each time and winning three other games 5-0; 1-0 and 2-1. With goals from Jake (3) Max (1) Aidan (2) Jacob (2) Husayn (1) and Reggie (1). Fin made some great saves in goal and their teamwork and fairness was impressive -  making sure that everyone had the same amount of time as subs.

The B team also played really well and were in a very tough group with some very good sides. They lost three games; drew one game and won one game 3-0 with all goals coming from Zach. They also played really well with a good display of teamwork.

Thank you to our Governors Mrs Steel and Mr Gingell who accompanied the children and sent these reports back to us for the newsletter.

Mixed Football Tournament at Charters School

On Tuesday after school, two teams of years 5 and 6 took part in a mixed football tournament at Charters. This was the first time for many years that mixed teams played. Both teams played incredibly well and our first team won the tournament on goal difference!  Congratulations to all the children who played and thank you to the parents who were able to watch and support the teams.
