Newsletter 27 - 4th April 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our vision is for our pupils to flourish in an inclusive, inspirational place of learning where we are happy, respectful, kind and safe.

We hope you all enjoyed the Easter Services and found the Parents’ Meetings useful. I’d like to say a big thank you to all the staff for their dedication and care in all they do for our children.

Smart Phones

This week’s Top Tip is from the Smart Phone Free Childhood website. There will be further information for parents that we will share in future newsletters but this is a good place to start and not too overwhelming! Especially if you’re contemplating buying your child a phone, or they may already have one, this is a helpful read.

Reception Class Wish List

We need your help! Please let us know (via the office or Mrs Tomes) if you’re able to help us with any of the following:

  • Is anyone able to help sort the sandpit cover? We have a blue waterproof cover which is great, but whenever it rains it just gets too heavy to move and the water just collects.....anyone with ideas?
  • Our stage was discovered to be rotting when the PTA hut was replaced - is anyone able to help build another? OR fund raise to replace it?
  • Our train needs a repaint.....any wood paint available? A parent with an electric sander?
  • If you’d like to purchase anything for the outdoor Reception area we’re in need of:
    • Compost for the gardening area
    • Children sized brooms
    • Paint brushes...large size
    • Dustpan and brush
    • Tennis balls
    • Soft footballs
    • Chalks
    • Construction equipment...hats and jackets
  • Community blocks - these have been invaluable but are now getting very old and need repairing and replacing.
  • Waterproof trousers for Forest School - some are getting old and have large holes in them.

Thank you to the PTA for the children’s Easter Eggs – we hope you all enjoy a lovely Easter break. We will see you back at school on Tuesday 22nd April.

Mrs Griffith

ROYAL ASCOT SCHOOLS ART COMPETITION | Ascot Racecourse

Holy Trinity has six entries short listed in the primary sections so please look out for these!  It would be great to continue our winning tradition again this year with winning entries turned into giant placards used to decorate the Heath Tunnel under the Racecourse - always worth a visit to see as they stay in place for a few years being gradually replaced year on year.  Voting will close today.

Summer Clubs

Summer clubs are now available to book.  Please see here for more details.  Please note that Fencing Club has moved to a Friday morning and Mrs O'Brien's Art and Craft Club on Fridays after school is now available to Reception Class and Years 1 and 2.
