Newsletter 18 - 23rd January 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

PTA

The PTA met this week – sincere thanks to the PTA Committee, Class Reps and Staff Reps for generously giving their time and demonstrating such strong commitment.

The current Co-Chairs (Mrs Hannah Howe and Mrs Jenny Lynch) will be stepping down from their role as Co-Chairs at the end of this academic year. And so we are looking for volunteers to replace them. Could this be you? Might you be interested? If so, please do contact the school.

Our PTA Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 13th June 12 – 4pm. Please keep the date in your diary and look out for ways to help out & support this very enjoyable and successful event!

Class Assemblies

We are coming up to that time of year when we invite parents in to school to enjoy their child’s class assembly. You are invited to join us in the hall (come to the back of the hall door on Church Road). All the assemblies start at 9am and usually last approx. 30 mins. It’s a lovely way for you to find out a bit more about what your child has been learning in class and gives the children a valuable experience of public speaking. Please note the following dates:

  • Reception Class: 9am Thursday 25th June
  • Year 1: 9am Thursday 21st May
  • Year 2: 9am Thursday 30th April
  • Year 3: 9am Thursday 12th March
  • Year 4: 9am Thursday 23rd April
  • Year 5: 9am Thursday 5th March
  • Year 6: 9am Thursday 26th February

Parent Tip

I hope you find the document below helpful – it’s a guide on supporting children with self-regulation. All children need support with this from time to time when they become overwhelmed. As adults, it can sometimes be hard to know how to help our children with this; this guide lends some tips.

I hope you enjoy the weekend,

Mrs Griffith

House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Earth. Well done Earth!

'Zoom' - Pied Piper Theatre Company

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 watched a play called 'Zoom' from The Pied Piper Theatre Group.  It was a play about a little girl called Molly who knew EVERYTHING about space.  She wants to be an astronaut when she grows up. One wintry night, Molly meets a visitor from outer space and she realises that she still has a lot to learn about looking after our very own planet, Earth!

Monday 19th January the Pied Piper came to Holy Trinity to perform 'Zoom'.  It was about trust - it was amazing.  They sang wonderful, magnificent songs.  There was a puppet alien and his name was Leelo.  There was also an owl puppet who sometimes sang along with the songs.  Zoya Year 2

On Monday 19th January we had a show called 'Zoom' in Holy Trinity.  It was an amazing treat.  My favourite part was when the alien landed on Earth and the tree with the swing.    Henry Year 2
