Report by Ollie Suddell
On Thursday 3rd July the Holy Trinity boy's football teams went to a football tournament at Ascot Football Club. There was a Blue League (our A Team) and a Red League (our B Team). Both teams won their first games. The A Team won 7-1 against Warfield and the B Team won 3-1 against St. Michael's B Team. In the second and third match for the B Team, the boys beat SAVS B Team 2-0 and then beat St Michaels' B team again 1-0 this time. The A Team drew to St Michael's 1-1 before beating SAVS 2-1 after great determination from the boys.
In the final match, the B team beat SAVS again 4-0 to win the trophy.
The A Team won 3-0 against Binfield to win the tournament for Holy Trinity.
The trophies will be in the office for everyone to see.
The goal scorers were: Jacob, Bijan, Luke, Ollie, Jake, Gabriel, Corick, Barnaby, Josh and Husayn.
A huge well done to both teams for winning their tournaments! A thank you to Mr Sudell and Mrs Hunter for taking the boys and to Magpies for training them so well this year.
A message from Charters School regarding music lessons for children aged 5 and above:
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this message finds you well.
As the Head of Music at Charters School, I am delighted to share an exciting opportunity for aspiring young musicians in our local community. We are proud to support the launch of the Ascot Music Hub, a new after-school programme hosted in our very own Music Department every Wednesday evening from 3:30pm-6:00pm starting in September.
Run by the experienced team at Musicscool, this initiative offers high-quality one-to-one music lessons in piano, guitar, woodwind, and brass—tailored specifically for primary-aged children from 5 years and up. Lessons are led by professional musicians who are passionate about inspiring a love of music in every child.
Music education offers so much more than just learning an instrument—it develops confidence, boosts brain function, supports emotional well-being, and builds essential life skills. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already playing, this is a brilliant way to enrich their learning journey.
Spaces are limited, and to make it easy to get started, a FREE trial lesson is available.
To find out more or to book, visit www.musicscool.co.uk or email info@musicscool.co.uk.
We hope to welcome many of your children to the Music Hub soon.
Warm regards,
Andrew Hoare
