Choir Performance

What an incredible evening at the Reading Hexagon Junior music show yesterday!

Our amazing choir truly sang their hearts out , lighting up the stage with their talent and enthusiasm. The theme ‘A Night at the Movies’ was brought to life through an unforgettable performance of around 12 songs from well known film and TV shows. Every single child gave it their all and I couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, energy and confidence. I’m sure everyone who watched will agree- they were nothing short of spectacular!  Well done to our brilliant choir !

Year 3 Visit Marwell Zoo

Yesterday, my class and I went to Marwell Zoo because we wanted to find out about animals. We travelled by coach and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes.

As we were wandering up to the Science workshop, we saw some animals, but the best was the snow leopard. It was climbing the rocks  and slopes of it’s enclosure.

At the workshop, we talked about classification which is sorting animals into groups. The lady showed us a dead piranha, but the eyes were not real, they were marbles. The piranha was of course dried out!

During the day, we also saw extremely tall giraffes, very stripey zebras, diving penguins and pale pink flamingos.

I really enjoyed going to Marwell Zoo and enjoyed seeing all the rare animals. I’m definitely going to ask my family if we can go back one day. I had a great time.

Y5 STEM Workshop at The Marist

Last Monday, Ella & I were invited to The Marist to explore some AI and Scratch. It was from 8.30 - 11.45am. We enjoyed it very much. there was lots of testing and fixing, especially when we were training AI. Sometimes the AI thought the colour green was purple or when you said 'blue' it thought you had shouted 'red'!

Overall we had a great time and learnt a lot.
