Newsletter 30 - 12th May 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Well done to all of our Year 6’s who have been a credit to you all this week approaching their SATs calmly.  A huge thank you to all staff involved in preparing and supporting them this week.  A particular thank you to Mrs Marriner who gave her time to invigilate this week for us.

A BIG SHOUT OUT!

I do hope that you all had a wonderful time celebrating the coronation of King Charles III.  As part of the Big Shout Out, Holy Trinity would like to thank all of our parent and carer helpers, who selflessly come in to hear readers, attend trips, our PTA and Governors.  All of you contribute so much to the heart beat of our school.  We thank you!

HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL PRAYER
This is our school.
Let peace dwell here.
Let the room be full of contentment.
Let love abide here.
Love of one another.
Love of mankind.
Love of life itself
and love of God.
Let us remember:
that as many hands build a house;
so, many hearts build a school.

AMEN

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Carmel Barnes

Assistant Head

Census Day Menu

Thursday 18th May is Census Day in school and so the lunch menu will be swapped with Friday's menu next week.  Uptake of school lunches influences the funding we receive for Universal Free School meals so it would help us greatly if all children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 have a school lunch that day.

Fundraising for Uganda Skateboard Community

Our skateboard coach Gregor is running the Windsor Trail Marathon next weekend to raise funds for the Uganda Skateboard Community.  Greg says 'Uganda Skateboard Community' has been running for around 8 years now and has travelled around many villages to help build infrastructure that helps local people (some of it being skateboard related). This money helps build infrastructure like skateparks and toilets etc, as well as, pay for any equipment that they may need like shoes and skateboards.'  Click here to see some lovely photos of the charity's work and to sponsor Gregor.

Many thanks.

Reporting Absence

Please report absence using the school absence line on 01344 620716 by 9.15am at the latest on each and every day of absence.  Absence notified by email may not be seen until much later in the morning due to the very large volume of emails received at school.  Many thanks for your help with this.
