International Day of Happiness

Wednesday 20th March saw us celebrating the International Day of Happiness in school, with the help of Mrs Van Someren (Mum to Toby and Max).  Mrs Van Someren ran sessions in every class, with some classes spreading happiness through sending letters of gratitude, filling up 'gratitude jars' and chatting to friends about what makes them happy.  Reception Class and Year 1 did some beautiful 'happiness' art, painting stones and then hiding them in the Forest School for other people to find.  Please see some pictures of these below:

Payments for School Meals and Breakfast Club

Please could you make sure that you keep an eye on your ParentPay lunch balance and top it up regularly if you would like your child to have school dinners.  In addition, please make sure that Breakfast Club invoices are paid promptly.  Every text that we have to send as a payment reminder costs our school money.

Attendance
90% sounds good doesn’t it? However, 90% means your child misses the equivalent of:
·        One half day each week
·        Nearly 4 weeks every school year
·        Over one school year in their school career
Our target for all children is 97% attendance. Please make every effort to bring your child to school, and on time, unless they are unwell.  Please leave a message on the absence line by 9.30am if your child will not be in school.  Every text reminder costs our school money.

Years 3 and 4 Swimming - Summer Term

Years 3 and 4 will be swimming at Heathfield School in Ascot, with Frogs and Friends, on Wednesday mornings from 23rd April until 3rd July.  Please look out for a letter with more details and everything you need to know next week.

PE Kit

All of our spare KS2 kit, donated by last year's Y6 parents in particular, has gone!  This reserve kit is there so that we can help children out when they've forgotten their PE kit.  Once borrowed, this should be washed and returned to school as soon as possible.  Please can you check your child's PE kit to check for any items which don't belong to you and return these as soon as you can. We had many sets of kit but now none left at all to lend to children who don't have their PE kit in school.

Book Club

Our new Scholastic Book Club is up and running! Go to http://schools.scholastic.co.uk/holy-trinity-sl5 to browse the latest books and order online. For every £1 you spend on this month’s Book Club, our school will earn 25p in Scholastic Rewards.

Please place your order online by March 31st, 2019.  Thank you!

Refreshments at the Easter Services

Year 6 parents will be running an 'Easter Cafe' serving tea or coffee and a sweet treat for £1 at both of our Easter Services this year.
