Newsletter 18 - 22nd January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you are all well. Pat yourselves on the back for surviving another week of lockdown and home learning!
This week, we have taken delivery of laptops that have been bought for us by a parent. We’d like to extend a huge thank you – they have been delivered to families this week and will make a real difference to the learning access for those children. Thank you!
You may have heard that all primary school staff will be offered rapid COVID-19 testing from next week. We are still awaiting our delivery of the test kits to hand out to those staff that opt in to the scheme. The ultimate aim of testing staff is to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. As many as one in three people with COVID show no signs of having it. Testing staff will help to identify and isolate more asymptomatic people who test positive. This may result in class bubbles (or at the moment Key Worker bubbles) having to close at short notice if a staff member tests positive. This runs alongside the existing guidance for anyone who starts to show any symptoms.

Thank you once again for your support during home learning. We are all acutely aware that this is not an easy situation for you as parents. You did not choose to home educate your children and trying to do your own work alongside helping your children is difficult to say the least! We understand. Please do what you can and that is all we can ask.
Best wishes for a lovely weekend.
Mrs Griffith
