Dear Parent and Carers,

Y6 to Mill on the Brue

Year 6 will be enjoying their week away next week.  I am hoping that the weather holds. Thank you in advance to Mrs Neale, Mrs Hunter, Miss Lazar and Mrs Free for taking the children away.

PTA Summer Fair

So many people have been involved in preparing for our Summer Fair tomorrow (11am – 2pm). Thank you all for your time and donations.  The promise of sunshine is with us and I hope you have lots of fun  - remember the suncream and hat!

The children will spending time with their new teachers on the morning of 11th July.  A 'Meet the Teacher' session is also organised for that afternoon and more details will follow.

Stars of the Week for w/e 23rd June 2023

Well done to all of our Stars this week.

Reception – Margot O for superb progress in her writing.

Class 1 – Halle for fantastic progress this week.

Class 2 – Zac L for being such a caring and kind friend to all.

Class 3 – Sam P and Taylor for excellent teamwork when dissecting a flower in science and for presenting your findings imaginatively.  

Class 4 –  James and Iris for consistently reading at home and changing their books frequently throughout the year.  

Class 5 - Alex for his calm and considered approach to all that he does. 

Class 6 – Matthew for his commitment to the production, enthusiasm in rehearsals and knowledge of the script.  

House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Earth! Well done Earth!

Sumskate Raffle

Greg, our skateboarding coach, will be running a raffle at the school fair next Saturday. 

Tickets will be £2 each or 6 for £10. There will be three prizes:

1st place – A complete skateboard with a free private lesson

2nd place – A ‘SUMSKATE’ Pencil case

3rd place – Tech deck

The Taplow Choirs

The Taplow Choirs are a prestigious set of children’s choirs run by Gillian Dibden MBE which run on Saturdays in Taplow. There are four choirs (Children’s, Boy’s, Girl’s, Youth) catering for all ages current year 2 onwards. There is more information on their website: www.taplowchoirs.org.uk. Emilia Bui yr 5 is a current member and they are running open rehearsals for any perspective members including this Saturday (17th June). 

 

In school term time:

Children’s choir: 10-11am weekly

Boy’s choir: 11:15am-12:15pm weekly

Girl’s choir (current yr 4+): 2-4pm fortnightly
