SPORTING LINKS

Holy Trinity CE Primary School works alongside a number of schools in the local area to promote a range of sporting activities.  The pupils in our school are involved in a number of sporting events organised by Charters school, private schools in the area and our cluster of primary schools.  Many pupils enter leagues and competitive sports through private clubs both in and out of school.

We organise a range of after school sport clubs with private companies;

  • Magpies multi sports
  • Ball up basketball club
  • Apollo martial arts
  • In 2 sport football skills

Miss Harding was keen to lead in netball training and rounders this year.

Sporting events with our local primary schools is arranged as is a number of inter-school activities. See the timetable of fixtures below.

SWIMMING:

2015-2016

This year our swimming team stormed home with fantastic wins and finished top of their league this year.  As such our school has been promoted to the second league and look forward to the challenges ahead.

2014-2015

For the third year in a row Holy Trinity became the runners up of the BPSSA (Ballarat Primary School Sports Association) swimming event for 2015.  The boys team came an impressive first for the BPSSA medley relay race and took home the gold trophy.  A fantastic performance, well done to everyone involved.

FOOTBALL:

THE TOM COCKLIN MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TROPHY

2016-2017

The competition this year was fierce.  After a really exciting start Holy Trinity made it to the final with South Ascot Village School.  The final match ended in a draw and went straight to penalties.  It could have gone either way as both teams were so well matched.  Well done to our football team who romped home with the winning penalty and the trophy!

2015-2016

Due to circumstances beyond our control this event did not take place but we look forward to looking after the trophy until the next competition in 2017.

2014-2015

Well done to our football team in Key Stage 2.  They entered and won the annual primary school cluster Tom Cocklin Charity Shield. Well done to every member of the team!

NETBALL:

Huge congratulations to our school netball team.  They out performed many local primary school teams this year and showed fantastic team spirit.

Congratualtions to KS2 team 'fire' for winning the inter-house rounders competition this year.  A fantastic afternoon was had by all.
