Thank you to Mrs Rhodes for leading our Science Morning this week. The children were inspired! The parents that came in and offered their time were fabulous! Thank you.

Calculation Policy and Videos

Teachers will have mentioned this in their Meet The Teacher presentations on Tuesday, in case you missed it here is the policy (examples of the written calculations that children are taught in mathematics) and videos showing the steps.

No riding of scooters or bikes in the playground or car park

Please do make sure that your children do not ride their scooters or bikes in the playground - this is for the safety of all and we do need your help.

House of the Week

The Houses with the most house points this week are Fire and Earth.  Well done Teams.

Congratulations to Earth for winning the House Cup this year!  This is an accumulation of points won at EYFS/KS1 Sports Day, KS2 Sports Day and the Sporting Challenge which has run throughout the year.  Well done Earth!

Holy Trinity enjoyed a successful and fun Science morning on Wednesday this week as we celebrated all things Science as a school.  There were a lot of wow moments and happy and surprised faces as the children engaged in a morning of enquiring, experimenting, testing, researching, observing, recording and making conclusions.

The variety of activities were endless -  trying to make heart shaped bubbles,  testing what features make a rocket fly the furthest, making lava lamps, making raisins dance, exploding volcanoes, testing air resistance and parachutes,  electrical circuits and switches,  discussing the philosophy of science, weather  patterns, oil refinery and much more!

A big thank you to all of the kind parents who offered their time, passion and expertise to organize and come in to school to run a workshop to inspire our children.  Thank you Mr Zeeb, Mr Swift, Mr Holt, Dr Manning and Dr Gill.
