Newsletter 39 - 18th July 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our vision is for our pupils to flourish in an inclusive, inspirational place of learning where we are happy, respectful, kind and safe.

This is our last newsletter of the school year.

Year 6 Production of The Pirates of the Curry Bean

What a wonderful way to round off your time at Holy Trinity Year 6! You were all fantastic in your roles and entertained us beautifully. Well done to you all! And another thank you to Mrs Hurst and Mrs Hunter for preparing you so well.

PTA

The PTA have raised a whopping £21,000 this year! This has been raised to fund the re-vamp of our library. I'm delighted to say that the installation is complete and has totally transformed the room. Year 6 will be able to see it before they leave and we will have an opening of our new Reading Room in the Autumn term. So, thank you for all your contributions to help make this possible!

A special thank you to Mrs Howe and Mrs Lynch for Co-Chairing a very successful PTA throughout the year.

The PTA are seeking a secretary from September - please do let us know if you'd be able to take on this role.

End of Year Reports

You will be receiving your child's report via email today.

Please do take a look at the letters below to explain the gradings:

Parent Governor Vacancy up-coming

The Governing Board will be sending you further information in the Autumn term but maybe this is something you'd be interested in? If you'd like to know more please speak to Mrs Jo Steel (Chair of Governors from September) or myself.

School Dinners

The cost of the meal will increase slightly to £2.85 in September. Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will continue to receive a free school meal with government funding.

If your child is in Year 3 to Year 6 next year please do make sure you have paid for meals on ParentPay in advance.

Staff Lunch

A thank you to the Year 6 parents who provided the staff with a really lovely lunch this week - thank you!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff team for their dedication, passion and care. They often put themselves and their own families second to the needs of our children here at Holy Trinity - thank you team!

A final thank you goes to the Governing Board. They work tirelessly to ensure that Holy Trinity is always striving to live our vision and provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities.

End of Term

We will be finishing at 1.30pm on Tuesday 22nd July. Another year that has come to the end.

We wish all the Year 6 and their families all the very best as they move on to new adventures.

We wish you all a wonderful summer break; thank you for your support this year. We return on Thursday 4th September!

Mrs Griffith

Year 2 - Freya and Sam. Thank you for bringing so much to our class. We wish you every happiness in your new                  schools.

Year 3 - The whole of Year 3 for superb team work in their Design Technology cooking session. They worked very                sensibly using knives and helped each other.

Year 5 - Rosie and Immie for excellent paired work making motor-powered doodlers  - a creative cat and a playful                panda.

Year 6 - Mia for always making good choices, setting an example to others and showing she is a true advocate for                the Holy Trinity values.

Well done to all Y6 for their parts in the production!

Rounders

Well done to all pupils who attended the Rounders tournament at Charters on Monday after school. There were some great rounders and catches! Thank you to Miss Harding and Mrs Tomes as well as the parents who were able to stay and support all the children. Our A Team won the tournament. Sam was awarded a certificate for excellence and Sophie a certificate for unity by the Charters Leaders.

Miss Harding would like to say a big thank you to all pupils in Year 6 who have been great representatives of Holy Trinity in sporting tournaments over their time with us. I hope to see some of you as Charters Sports Leaders in the not too distant future.
