    Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another busy week at school. We have appreciated the dry weather!

    Top Tips For Parents

I have had a lot of positive feedback about the tips I shared in last week’s newsletter around Roblox. Thanks for taking the time to let me know – it’s always helpful to hear if what we’re sharing with you is useful! So, without overloading you with information, I’ll continue to share a weekly poster on various online topics. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to have more information on please do ask.

    Christmas Card Competition

We have had an invitation from MP for Windsor Jack Rankin inviting pupils to design a Christmas Card capturing the essence of the local area that he will send out to his constituents. The shortlisted design will be put to a public vote via his social media to decide the winner and runner ups.

If your child would like to enter the competition, they will need to complete their design on A4 or A5 paper/card (portrait or landscape)and send to Jack Rankin, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA by Friday 8th November.

    Parent Consultation Meetings

Please make sure you have selected an appointment slot for next week. We hope you find the time helpful.

Please come to the back hall door for your allotted time – please be mindful of your 10 minutes appointment to ensure all parents can attend their chosen slot.

    Enjoy the weekend,

    Mrs Griffith

Stars of the Week for w/e 18th October 2024

Well done to all of our Stars this week

Reception – Millie for super progress with her phonics and blending the word 'pumpkin'!

Year 1 – Cameron for his focused observant drawing in art.

Year 2 – Darby for some great work in maths this week on number bonds.

Year 3 – Kareena for her detail and accuracy in using speech marks in her writing this week.

Year 4 – Max, chosen by Mr Parry for his excellent behaviour and skill in Tag Rugby this week, always ready to listen to instructions and to help others.

Year 5 – Sophie for always attempting tasks independently and only asking for help when she's really unsure.

Year 6 - Luke for always applying himself to his work and setting an example to others.

    House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Air! Well done Air!

    Football Firsts!

Our year 5 & 6 girls football team attended a tournament on Monday at Braywick for the first time this year; and for many, it was their first ever competitive tournament. The girls worked really well as a team, gaining in confidence as the tournament progressed. Ariana made some super saves and Simar scored a great goal.  It was a pleasure to take them and thank you to those parents who were able to support as well. We hope to arrange some more matches soon.
