    Dear Parents and Carers,

    Harvest Service

    Preparations are well under way in school for the Harvest Services next week. Parents are invited to join us.

    As always, we ask that the children bring along to church on the morning of their service a donation of tinned or cupboard/packet food (please see a list of items below) to donate to the Holy Trinity Church Foodbank. Thank you for your contributions to this.

    Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 Harvest Service:

    9.15am on Tuesday 8th October in Holy Trinity Church.

    Reception Class, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 Harvest Service:

    9.15am on Thursday 10th October in Holy Trinity Church.

    So please bring your children to school to be registered in the usual way then school staff will walk the children down to church. We look forward to seeing you there!

    Harvest Donations

    Holy Trinity Church would really appreciate any donations of the following items for the food bank which serves our immediate neighbours here in Sunningdale.  Items can be handed to the children to carry down to church on the day or you can bring them to the service directly.  More generally, items for the food bank can be left in the school office any time at all. 

    Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, soap, washing up liquid, teabags, jars of instant coffee, drinking chocolate, squeezy honey, tinned fruit, tinned custard, long life milk, long life fruit juice, biscuits, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna, tinned meat, tinned sweetcorn, tinned mixed vegetables, baked beans

    Stars of the Week for w/e 4th October 2024

    Well done to all of our Stars this week

    Reception – Theia for a super start with her phonics.  Great sound work and super blending. 

    Year 1 – Benji for always trying his hardest in his learning and for being a wonderful member of Year 1.

    Year 2 – Halle for always living our vision of doing good and being happy. 

    Year 3 – Zoe for a great newspaper report on the Genesis story. 

    Year 4 – Zac L for always trying his best with his learning and making good choices.

    Year 5 – Taylor for always trying her hardest and setting a fantastic example for her classmates.

    Year 6 - Sienna W for showing a positive attitude to learning and getting involved by questioning things in class. 

    House of the Week
    The House with the most house points this week is Earth! Well done Earth!

    Ascot Racecourse Autumn Photography Competition 

    Following Ascot Racecourse's successful launch of the Autumn Photography Competition last year (won by Holy Trinity pupil Mehher, now in Year 7 at Charters School), the Racecourse are again encouraging students to enter this year’s competition to encompass the Christmas Raceday theme of “The Nutcracker”. 

    Royal photographer, Millie Pilkington, has again agreed to be the judge and present prizes at the very popular Christmas Family Raceday on Saturday, 21st December.


    Theme

    Students are encouraged to explore and capture images that evoke the deeper meanings behind this beloved ballet.

    Suggestions

    Images of family gatherings, festive decorations, the joy of the holiday season/Christmas spirit, acts of kindness and moments of joy and happiness.

    Format
    Please send a digital landscape photograph in jpeg format alongside a brief description explaining how it relates to “The Nutcracker” theme.
