    Dear Parents and Carers,

    Another week has flown by!

Well done to Year 3 for their Class Assembly yesterday – they were great!  Next Thursday (2nd May) at 9am it’ll be Year 2’s turn. Families welcome – please come through the back of the hall door on Church Road.

    Artist in School

We were fortunate to have local artist Amanda Padfield come in to school on Wednesday to inspire the children with their art. The children all created an image of a tree. They are wonderful! Some of their work will be chosen to be displayed in The Circle Gallery in Sunninghill. What an opportunity!

    Film Night

Is next Tuesday 30th April. Reception class will be watching Trolls. Year 1 and Year 2 are watching Wish. Years 3 to Year 6 are watching Super Mario Brothers.  If you would like your child to attend, please sign them up via ParentPay. Please collect them from their classroom at 4.15pm.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

    Mrs Griffith

Year 4 – Zen for some great vocabulary choices in his Sentence Stacker work this week.

Year 5 – Mia for always attempting tasks independently and asking for help when she is unsure.

Year 6 – Harry for a really positive week both with learning and attitude - keep it up!

    House of the Week
The Houses with the most house points this week are Earth and Fire! Well done to both teams!

    Art Day with Amanda Padfield

On Wednesday this week all classes had an Art session with professional artist Amanda Padfield.  The focus was to produce a painting of a tree on canvas using lots of different media, and to also consider what lives in the tree. The children included hidden treasures in their paintings - can you spot any?  The children really enjoyed the sessions and the paintings are truly wonderful!  Please see a small selection below.  Some of the canvases will be put on show in the Circle Gallery in Sunninghill.

    Joe Wicks?

Joe Wicks is touring schools again and looking for nominations of schools to visit.  Perhaps we could shower his team with nominations for Holy Trinity!  Here's the link if you could take a moment to fill it in.

    Holy Trinity Church Foodbank

Don't forget we collect items at school reception for the Holy Trinity Church Foodbank.  Items particularly needed at the moment are:

    • Tinned vegetables
    • Tinned fruit
    • Tinned custard
    • Breakfast cereal
    • Long life fruit juice
    • Long life milk
    • Squeezy honey
    • Multipack snack bars
    • Tea bags
    • Hot chocolate
    • Coffee
    • Tissues

    All donations gratefully received.

     Attendance

Please do not book holidays or family days during term time.  Missing even one or two days of school can be detrimental to your child's learning as key information is missed. Friendships are also affected.  Holiday absences will show up as persistent absence which is checked by Ofsted when they visit and monitored closely each term by the Education Welfare Officer at RBWM.  Looking ahead, it is almost certain that the Government will require fixed penalty notices and associated fines to be issued for holiday taken during school term time.
