    Dear Parents and Carers,

We have reached the end of our first full week and I’m so impressed with the way all the children have returned to school with positive, ‘can do’ attitudes. We are focusing on our values of ‘Forgiveness & Friendship’ this half term linked with our rule to Be Kind. We have been reflecting with the children about how they can show kindness in their words and actions and make deliberate choices to do so.

Of course, this all links with our vision “to do good and be happy”.

    Pupil Leadership Roles

We’d like to congratulate the following pupils on their following appointments:

    Head Boy Thomas

    Head Girl  Mia

    Deputy Head Boy Joshua

    Deputy Head Girl Willow

Digital Leaders: Sam, William, Ben, Cohen, Bijan & Elliot

Spiritual Leaders:  Bryony, Sienna & Sienna

    Librarians:  Phoebe, Simrah & Fleur

    Y6 Eco Warriors:

    Matthew & Junior

    Y6 School Councillors

We know they’ll all be fantastic in their roles.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,

    Mrs Griffith

Year 6 - Simrah for an excellent start to Year 6.  Simrah is always focused, proactive and ready to learn.

    House of the Week
The House with the most house points this week is Water! Well done Water!

    Grab Bags Only Next Week

We have no gas supply in school next week so hot meals won't be available from the kitchen.  Grab bags will be available to order or send in a packed lunch if you prefer.  Hopefully our new gas supply will be fitted successfully during the week and we will have a new heating system up and running soon.  We're expecting disruption/road closure at the top of Church Road to allow for the new connection to be made.  It's not completely clear to us how long the work will take.  Please bear with it!

    School Library - Monday Lunchtimes

Do you have a school DBS and are you available on Mondays at lunchtime?  We'd love to open the library to children one lunchtime a week - let us know if you'd like to volunteer.  Many thanks.

    Fundraisers in Training!

On Sunday, Savan Y4 and Pasha Y1, ran in the Surrey Half Junior Race. They ran 2 kilometres, with Savan achieving a PB and knocking an impressive one and a half minutes off his previous race time. They’ll be doing a few more of these practice training races in anticipation of another fund raising triathlon next summer.
