Today we are making paper plate pets.

For ICT we are going on purple mash, your login should be in your reading book. Click on the 2do activities.

 

Do use bug club for some reading.

Wednesday 9th February:

Phonics:
Learnt the new Tricky word: they. Write it on paper and stick it on the fridge. 

Use the powerpoint below to check you know the tricky words for phase 3.

 

Numeracy:
Go through the powerpoint below.

Print out the ladybird sheet and play the ladybird memory game

 

PSHE: Caring for the World

Discuss the following

  • What is special about our outside world?
  • How do you care for our world?
  • Can we make our world a better place?
  • Why is water so precious?
  • Who/what needs water? 

Make a poster to encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin.

 

 

Tuesday 8th February:

Literacy: Dear Zoo

Watch the you tube clip of Dear Zoo

Can you make a lift the flap page. Can you draw a zoo animal and fix a piece of paper over it to act as a flap.

'They sent me a ..........he was too......' Decide what might be wrong with the animal they sent you?

 

Phonics:

Revising sounds we have covered. Go through the powerpoint below to check your knowledge of the sounds oo ar and or.

 

Numeracy: 

Below are some Numeracy worksheets- can you play a matching pairs game or match the pictures on the worksheets.

 

Monday 7th February:

Matchbox Maths:

Find a matchbox or small tin or container. Go for a search around the house to find things that will fit in the box....not too long....not too wide.

When you have found your objects....lay them out in rows of five to count them. How many did you fit in?
 

Phonics

Tricky word today is 'all'. Practise reading it on a sheet of paper...then write it on a piece of paper. Use the powerpoint below can you write words to match the pictures eg ball, fall, wall....check your answers!

 

Tell me a Tale

This week we are thinking about Pets. What pets do you have at home?

Draw a picture and write a sentence...something like, 'My best pet is a .....'
