5th June 2020
We had a great week at Forest School last week. We managed to avoid the rain showers and no one was cold, so thank you for sending in appropriate clothing. We learnt about bees, about how important they are and what we can do to save them and look after them. We also began our phonics sessions again and some numeracy. Everyone did a brilliant job of cooking marshmallows on the camp fire.
This week our topic is Ladybirds. We are looking at the book, 'The Bad Tempered Ladybird.' I have put some planning in the document below for you to continue with when your child is at home.
PE: Do use Fitness Five a Day, the children know and enjoy this.
Numeracy: Some number bond challenge sheets and work on weight/mass is included below. Also we will be talking about time, do follow this up at home.
Understanding the World: Follow the powerpoint about ladybirds and write some Ladybird facts.
Art: Paint a Ladybird stone
Literacy: Can you plan who you would like to meet at different times of the day? Maybe Disney characters? minibeasts or your favourite superheroes? Or even friends you haven't seen for a long time because of lockdown!
