Thursday 7th May
Welcome to another sunny day! It is so nice to have the warm sunshine back.
Did many people have a go at the nature treasure hunt? I had a couple of photos through showing your pictures you made with flowers. Some lovely ones linked to VE day and also for the NHS.
I spent the day at school yesterday with Mrs Free, we spent the whole day outside and it was lovely but still very very strange without you all there!
Your challenge for today is to perform 3 acts of kindness. They could be as big or small as you wish but try to do 3 kind things for others.
Tomorrow is a bank holiday so I won't be writing a blog post but I will still upload a chapter of Fing - if there are any parents willing to record a chapter do let me know!
Have brilliant weekends
Wednesday 6th May
Good morning Class 2!
Today I am spending the day at school so I will post some photos of what we have been up to later on. I'm sorry if I am slow for a couple of days with responding to emails/uploading photos etc - I have some technical issues with my laptop and it is taking a long time to do everything!
As the weather is set to be nice for the next few days this is my outdoor challenge for you:
This is a nature treasure hunt with a challenge for you to fill each compartment of your egg box with a different colour/shade of colour. When you get back home you can create a picture with all the things you have found - this could be a nature scene or a self portrait or anything else you fancy! Make sure to send me photos. Have a super day and keep making me proud
Tuesday 5th May
Good morning Class 2
I hope you have had a good start to the week and were busy yesterday with lots of learning and playing.
I have included this weeks First News newspaper below which has lots of things to read and some games to play.
I have a 'thunk' for you to think about today...
Enjoy your day - I have put some new bits in our Art folder so have a look if you fancy it.
I hope you all had a nice weekend. This week I have created a suggested timetable of activities as usual providing options for your home learning. If you are following along with Jack and the Beanstalk then please carry on with the things in the relevant folder below. Feel free to do this alongside the other things on the timetable if you wish.
If you would prefer to follow BBC Bitesize or Oak National Academy that is fine too. I have picked out some key lessons I think look useful for this week. Please remember there is no pressure to do all or any of this - reading daily is absolutely great too.
I have set new tasks on Mathletics and some new 2dos on Purple mash, including a class game of 2Race (Maths game). I have asked you to ask all the people living in your house their favourite fruit and then you will need to input that into a pictogram. Follow the instructions - it is quite simple! Remember to hand your work in. Next week we will do a minibeast hunt and you will create a bar graph. Friday 8th May also marks the 75th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe) from WWI so I will be uploading some activities for that which I will explain more about later in the week.
Be sure to check our guest reader of Fing today!
BBC Bitesize for this week:
I have highlighted specific lessons on the weekly plan but feel free to use for the whole week :)
