Friday 1st May
Happy Friday everybody!
Who can quite believe it is May already? It seems to have come around very quickly.
As it is Friday I would like you to use today to finish up any bits of unfinished work from this or previous weeks - once that is done you have a very important task.... PLAY! You have worked really hard and deserve a day to have 'choosing time'! Try to remember to play nicely with siblings and show kindness and patience!
Who clapped for the NHS yesterday evening? I hope you haven't broken anymore spoons Jacob
Just a little reminder about drawing with Rob - there are lots to catch up on if you haven't done one in a while!
Enjoy today and have a great weekend,
Thursday 30th April
Please see my video below to hear about my day yesterday - it was certainly very jam-packed and very messy!! Make sure to check out our new recipe/cooking folder and also our photo gallery for the new pictures this week. Miss Harding has shared a story with us teachers which we can pass on to you to read at home, I will upload it at the bottom of this page - it's called 'How to not go to school'.
There is another book if you click on this link called 'The Book of Hopes':
It is written by a really well known children's author and is a lovely book to have a look at and share with people at home.
Have a super Thursday and keep up the hard work - I am so proud of all of you!
Wednesday 29th April
Morning class 2!
What a grey day yesterday was I definitely noticed not being able to get outside as much, did you? Did anyone still brave going out in the rain for a walk?
I spent yesterday baking chocolate chip muffins and making salt dough with Millie amongst some other boring things! It got me thinking though that I am going to set you a task to bake something this week, it could be anything you like as long as you are weighing, measuring, setting timers and setting the temperature on the oven! This is all brilliant 'real life' maths. Don't worry if you can't do it this week, just let me know when you do have a go at baking something and I will set up a folder to share recipes and photos as a class.
Have a lovely day today,
P.S. who can spot an array or two in these photos?! What would the number sentences be to go with the arrays?
Tuesday 28th April
Thank you for the emails I'm receiving - whether it is just an update about what you've been up to or you sending me photos; I love to hear from you. A few weeks ago Neive and her brother Bowen, found some frogspawn and they collected it in a bucket. Today I received an email with an update on the frogspawn and have uploaded the photos for you to see.
Does anyone know what happens to the tadpoles next in their life cycle? Although this isn't directly linked our science focus of plants it is still a good opportunity to have a look at life cycles!
Has anyone else been clapping for the NHS on Thursday at 8pm? We have been and I know Jacob has... His mummy sent me this video below that made me chuckle!
Check out all the new photos in our gallery.

Monday 27th April
Morning Class 2,
I hope you all had a nice weekend and made the most of this beautiful sunshine. I went on two long walks and saw some really lovely things. Below you'll see a video of a mother duck and her ducklings we saw. We also have been finding lots of rocks on our walks and Millie has enjoyed re-hiding them. Have you found any?
If you started the Armchair Explorers project last week feel free to carry on with that. If not, I will put some ideas below for the week and will leave the links to Oak Academy & BBC Bitesize.
Remember above all the most important thing to do in terms of school work is reading - so if nothing else, try to read every day.
Speak to you tomorrow,
Miss Prince x
